Okay, I really didn't want to watch this because I'm just not into the whole kid thing - I know that sounds horrible. That being said, this clip was pretty damn cute.

It's odd that we laugh when we see kids re-enacting scenes of tarring and feathering and saying such memorably morbid quotes as, "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes." But we do.

  3. I wonder if any of those children really feel that the french came and fought off the english with french bread?

It's fun to watch the kids in the background as the declartion of independence was being red, they eith looked horrendouslly bored or just started dancing.

The skit was adorable, but I felt the subjects were not caugth up in the re-enactment. I would have loved to see them put a little bit more of themselves into it: a Chuckee Cheese (I probably didn't spell that right) sorta spin, "where a kid can be a kid." Some of the political content was a bit off putting. Watching them struggle over their lines was endearing.
